Staff members from Pine Springs Preparatory Academy (PSPA) today shared an update with the Charter Schools Review Board regarding their recent outreach to Tanzanian schools. This summer, teachers and staff from the Holly Springs charter school traveled to Arusha, Tanzania, to deliver supplies and provide training to four schools. If you missed our coverage of that trip, you can read it here.

This morning, trip leader Kristen Favia shared highlights of the Tanzanian outreach with the CSRB. Lauren Johnson, PSPA’s elementary school principal, Corey Davis, the athletic director, and Erin Harden, a fifth grade teacher, joined Favia at the podium.

Bruce Friend, PSPA’s superintendent and the CSRB’s chair, expressed his pride over the team’s contributions as well as PSPA’s worldwide impact.
