Lincoln Charter School (LCS) on Saturday celebrated its second annual Cultural Expo at the school’s Denver campus. The event, which showcases global traditions through food, music, art, and more, provided the school community with myriad opportunities to learn about and enjoy other cultures.
Below are some the activities that comprise the Cultural Expo, according to LCS. Participants could:
- Have their Eagle Nation Passport stamped at each of the 7 continents while traveling around the world.
- Learn about the Indian traditional sand art form, Rangoon, and then create their own.
- Enjoy performances from Filipino dancers followed by “Himig at Hapag” or, “Melody and Table,” a time to sing along and sample traditional foods.
- Get their own lasting souvenir–a henna tattoo.
- And so much more!
